The client, a French Transnational, is a Fortune 500 Company and widely recognized across the Globe as one of the world’s top hundred industrial corporations. Worldwide the Group’s business is organized into five verticals namely Glass, Building Materials, Building Products Distribution, Distribution and High Performance Materials.
They require:
PROJECT MANAGER
1. The
PROJECT MANAGER shall receive all details pertaining to the
PROJECT from our parent company /Customer. The details shall be in the form of drawings/specifications/bill of materials and others that may be required for detailing out the
PROJECT.
2. The
PROJECT MANAGER, with assistance from Engineering & Design Section shall detail out the
PROJECT and derive drawings, specifications, bill of materials for all items which forms a part of the
PROJECT.
3. The
PROJECT MANAGER shall prepare a detailed
PROJECT Schedule clearly indicating time periods for each of the activities within the
PROJECT. The Schedule shall be adopted in the
PROJECT Kick-off / Contract Review meeting with Heads of Functions . The
PROJECT MANAGER is responsible for monitoring of
PROJECT Progress (generally using the Critical Path Method) and achievement of the overall schedule . At all stages of the
PROJECT the schedule must be kept updated with actual progress on a weekly basis.
4. The engineering documents / BOM shall be sent to Purchase for further action. The
PROJECT MANAGER shall participate in the purchase to the extent of selecting the right vendor for the component, part or assembly and ensure compliance to budget .
5. The
PROJECT MANAGER also shall control drawings, organize design reviews & prepare Quality Plans for the
PROJECT and Check sheets for all critical components.
6. The
PROJECT MANAGER with the assistance of the
PROJECT Engineer co-ordinate the manufacturing at sub contract works and ensure Quality and Timely delivery of parts to the Assembly shop.
7. The
PROJECT MANAGER shall assist the Assembly
MANAGER in the sequencing of the assembly work and guide the assembly team during the complete assembly phase.
8. The
PROJECT MANAGER will be responsible for clear and timely communication between various sections of Seva, the Principal
PROJECT Leader at Seva France and the end Customer as necessary. As part of the co-ordination responsibilities the
PROJECT Manger conducts the periodic
PROJECT Review and circulates information to all concerned.
9. The
PROJECT MANAGER shall continuously interact with Engineering, Quality, Purchase, Assembly & Testing, Logistics Functions and Commercial sections to ensure that at every stage
PROJECT is progressing as per schedule.
10. The
PROJECT MANAGER shall also make frequent visits to the vendor’s works to ensure control on the quality and timeliness of the subcontract manufacture.
11. The
PROJECT MANAGER is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of Health, Safety and Environment are incorporated in the planning stage itself.
12. The
PROJECT MANAGER shall along with the finance
MANAGER, plan month to month funds requirement for the
PROJECT.
13. At any given time a
PROJECT MANAGER may handle one or more Projects depending on the work load and degree of complexity of the
PROJECT.
14. The
PROJECT MANAGER is responsible for the systematic documentation (hard copies and on the server) at all stages including manuals, as built drawings , documents for advance licenses, technical specifications of parts, sub assemblies, commercial closure documents, Quality dossier among others.
B.E. in Mechanical / Production with First class
10 - 12 years
Experience in a
PROJECT/ Manufacturing organization.
Experience in
PROJECT Planning, Contract Management , Vendor Development ,
PROJECT Commercial will be necessary
Exposure to modern
PROJECT practices will be an additional help.
